What tunes are you training with?
So many people vary in their music choices - some like to go natural and just breathe... some like to rock it out and some use their running/walking time as a time to worship or pray.
ooh, I train to a variety of music - but here's a peek into my ears... so don't laugh if you see me sing at the gym. I figure if I can sing, then my pace is right on! by Tobymac: Get Back Up the Slam Boomin' Ignition Extreme Days Tonight Funky Jesus Music to name a few... (pretty much I love all tmac) AND: Mambo No 5 - Lou Bega Run - Lecrae Club can't handle me... Flo Rida Dynamite - Taio Cruz
Yeah, I do have repeats and I keep my playlist on shuffle!
I have a Playlist of songs that really get me motivated and keep me going through all the miles...Most of these have great meaning...
Can't Stop this Thing we started....Bryan Adams Fly Away from Here....Aerosmith I Run for Life.....Melissa Etheredge Your Life is Now....John Mellencamp
The Adventure....Angels & Airwaves I Feel So....Boxcar Racer Firefly.....Breaking Benjamin Run....Collective Soul MIster Please.....Damn Yankees Don't Drink the Water....Dave Matthews Band The Best of Whats Around....Dave Matthews Band Rock of Ages.....Def Leppard I'm Alive....Celene Dion Falls on Me....Fuel Flat Top.....Goo Goo Dolls Mr. Brightside....The Killers Open Your Eyes....Alterbridge Hero of the Day....Metallica Welcome to the Black Parade...My Chemical Romance Disappear....Bebo Norman Shattered (Turn the Car Around)...O.A.R I Want it All....Queen Stand....Rascal Flats Sound of Madness....Shinedown All in the Serve....Michael W. Smith Brick by Brick....Train Ordinary.....Train The Glory of your Name...Watermark More...Matthew West The Gift....Angels & Airwaves
When training I like to include some of the songs that Jenna liked...Soul Sister and Baby, Baby. When things get hard those songs come on and remind why I am REALLY doing this.
Perhaps Paula could let us a few more of her favorites.
For the last two weeks I am mostly flashing back to the 80s on my playlist. Gap Band, Morris Day and the Time, Billy Idol, Dazz Band, New Order, Inxs, The Cure and Talking Heads get me moving. Eminem's Lose Yourself pushes me every week. Just keeping it fresh keeps me interested.
