Happy New Year to you!
Tracy and I have been looking forward to contacting you and asking you to join us on our next adventure.
Seems for us, God is always directing us to stretch ourselves and help out others in the process.
This year is no different. Many of you were instrumental in helping us train for our first half marathon last
year in 2010. Because of your support, prayers and advice - weʼre hooked. We run, we run/walk - we
(Tracy) walks more... and between us we completed 5 half marathons last year and several 5k races.
Elliot and Mitchell have been bitten by the running bug too!
We are especially happy to share with you a vision that was birthed out of the training process last year.
Our friends lost their daughter, this past summer to brain cancer. Her name was Jenna. Mitchell and
Jenna were classmates. Her family created “Believe In Miracles.” A foundation has been blessing kids
here in Michigan for several years now and was Jennaʼs joy every time she met another child fighting
cancer.
We are running again, in her honor and specifically to raise much needed funds to keep this local
foundation doing what it does best - “enriching the lives of children who are fighting terminal illnesses.”
Our team? Well - that is a fun question, actually. We are proud to tell you we are BIMBOʼs! To be a
BIMBO, simply means you are Believing In Miracles, Beautiful One. Jenna was one special kid and will
always be our Beautiful One.
Tracy and I would like to ask you to join the team with us, sponsor us or be a prayer partner as we train
and recruit others to be a part of a race in April - right here in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
We are running in the first annual - Letʼs Move Festival of Races on April 30th, 2011. This festival has a
course for everyone. A 1 mile river walk - 5k (3.1 miles) or a half marathon (13.1 miles).
